Full mortar bed, primed backs
Porcelain is unforgiving — it must be laid on a full wet mortar bed with slurry-primed slab backs. That's what stops hollow spots, lifting corners and cracked slabs two winters later.
Curves, steps and levels
Cut curves, wrapped steps, raised platforms, sunken seating areas and threshold-level finishes to bi-fold doors. We cut on site with a wet saw so joins stay razor-tight.
Granite borders and planters
Silver or mid-grey granite setts frame the slabs and tie the patio into lawn and planting. Block-built planters and stone-clad benches can be worked into the same build.
Drainage and finishing
Linear channel drains at the house line, correct falls, and brush-in or slurry jointing so the surface stays sealed, non-slip and easy to power-wash clean.
